It’s Out There

After all this time I released the sequel to The Siege of Mr Khan’s Curry Shop, out into the world. There’s something strange about publishing a book. I guess it’s a little like your child’s first day at school. Will they be okay? Will the other children like them? Or, the very worse scenario; will they be sent back because they don’t fit in and they’re not good enough 😂

Who’s Got The Biscuits had a title before it had been written. The main character in the first book liked biscuits so, it fits, but I had that title in my head years ago. You know when you are walking or hiking and all those weird thoughts come into your head? (maybe not?) Anyaways that was one of those days.

I know it won’t make me a load of money, but luckily I don’t really care. The reviews of the first one were so uplifting, who needs money? 😂 Plus I’m hopeless at marketing. My secret weapon is Esther Chilton as an editor she not only does an excellent job but she gives you the confidence that when she has finished it is a good book. There is a certain amount of joy from seeing your book out there. I don’t know about you guys but sometimes I read something from my book and wonder if I actually wrote it, now that’s a strange feeling.

Well it’s a short post because I have to put tea on. I think you posh people call it dinner. But up here in the North we have dinner at dinner time and tea at tea time. I’m not even going to get involved in “Supper” what’s that all about? 😂

They say I’m retired. Huh. I prefer to say I now work for myself. I published a debut novel a couple of years ago and I’m just doing a final read through of a sequel. There’s another book finished which was a collaboration but that’s hit snags. So, it looks like The Siege of Mr Khan’s Curry Shop Part 2 will be published first. For my sins I am a Yorkshireman, albeit well travelled, but back home in God’s own country now. I run, cycle, swim and drink Red Wine. If you want to know anything else just ask.

I looked The Siege of Mr.Khan’s Curry Shop up in the library, they didn’t have it but I liked the synopsis of it, they didn’t have anything for Who’s Got the Biscuit, if/when I ever see them in the real world and I’m able to, I’m going to read your books! Congrats on publishing your writing, I noticed Mr’s Kahn’s… was released this year, did you publish them both this year? I hope your publishing endeavor goes well, and your stories take you wherever you are dreaming to be! Cheers to your tea, I’m having coffee at coffee time.

    1. Thank you for your comment, Elle. I have them on Amazon but also published through Draft2Digital who put them in certain libaries. Mr Khan was released in 2021 but I updated it this year, so they are 4 years apart. Strangely enough the two books are set 4 years apart too. I wonder if that’s Freudian lol. Thank you for your support. My dream at the moment is to get off the marketing treadmill and get back to writing, once I’ve mowed the lawn lol
